Ez az elképzelés fokozatosan alakult ki és vált uralkodóvá, ám következménye egyértelmű módon az lett, hogy Jézus korára évről-évre zarándokok tízezrei keresték fel Heródes csodálatos építményét a jeruzsálemi Templomhegyen. Érdemes lesz eltűnődni azon, hogy honnan jöttek és mit láttak, miután megérkeztek. Szeptember 17., 17:00 – „Róma, az apostolfejedelmek városa” – Dr. habil. Kőszeghy Miklós Közmondásosan minden út Rómába vezet, és ez mindmáig így van a keresztény zarándokok számára. Rómában hagyományosan a hét bazilika a zarándokok fő úti célja, amelyek közül kiemelkedik Szent Péter és Szent Pál apostol kegyhelye. Az előadás a zarándokok római élményeiből kínál ízelítőt. Szeptember 18., 17:00 – „Santiago de Compostela, Szent Jakab városa” – Dr. Szakács Béla Zsolt Idősebb Szent Jakab ereklyéi a legenda szerint csodás módon jutottak Spanyolország északnyugati zugába, a róla elnevezett Santiago da Compostelába. Itt a középkor egyik legfontosabb európai zarándokközpontja alakult ki, amely a hozzá vezető úttal, a Caminóval ismét rendkívül népszerű. Az előadás bemutatja az útvonal főbb állomásait és a kegyhely nevezetességeit. Szeptember 19., 17:00 – „Aachen és a magyarok kápolnája” – Dr. Szakács Béla Zsolt Az aacheni palotakápolna Közép-Európa legnépszerűbb zarándokhelye volt, elsősorban Szűz Mária itt őrzött ereklyéi miatt, de Nagy Károly császár temetkezőhelyeként és a német királyok koronázási templomaként politikai jelentőséget is szerzett. Nagy Lajos király ezért 1367-ben magyar kápolnát alapított itt, amelynek gazdag felszerelése ma is az aacheni kincstár ékessége.
